Group Sales

200 BOOKING INFORMATION

Racing Dates: April 21, 2008 - January 2, 2009

Location: Calder Race Course is located next door to Dolphins Stadium at NW 27th Avenue/University Drive and County Line Road/NW 215th St. (on the Broward/Miami-Dade county line). Exit 47 off of Florida turnpike, Exit 4x off Turnpike extension.

Arrival time: Gates open at 11:30 a.m. during the Calder race meet and at 11 a.m. during the Tropical race meet. Lunch groups arrive around that time.

Entrance: Buses enter through the main entrance located off of NW 27th Avenue/University Drive. Proceed past the valet ramp to the circle drive where a guest relations representative will greet you. Cars enter through the main entrance located off of NW 27th Avenue/University Drive. There is self parking which leads to the West Grandstand entrance. Valet parking is also available and leads to both dining rooms.

Parking: Buses park complimentary. Parking is not included in group sales packages. Self parking is $2 per car and valet parking is $5 per car.

Dress Code: All areas of Calder have a casual dress code EXCEPT the Turf Club. The Turf Club requires a collared shirt and dress slacks. No shorts , no blue jeans, no sweats/sweatsuits or sneakers allowed.

It is the responsibility of the group leader to inform all members of the policy as group members cannot be admitted without proper attire.

Deposit: Dining Packages $100, Seating packages $50. Your deposit will be refunded 100% if your group cancels more than 7 full days prior to your event. Deposit on advance bookings should be received as soon as possible and no later than one month prior to event. For bookings less than a month in advance, the deposit should be sent immediately. Deposits may be made with a check or a credit card payment. Receipt of your deposit confirms your date.

Food Counts: The group sales office will call as your event nears to ask for a preliminary count and to finalize meal selections. A minimum of 15 people is required to receive group rates. A minimum of 40 persons is required for buffet service.

Your final count is due to the group sales office no later than one week prior to your event. You will be billed based upon your final count even if less attend the day of the event. If no final count is given, you will be billed based upon your preliminary count.

Luncheon Packages: All lunch packages include admission, racing program, reserved seating, luncheon, tax and gratuity, named race and winner's circle photo presentation.
