Summit of Speed Online Photo Contest

Calder fans are encouraged to enter our first-ever Online Photo Contest by submitting their photos to our Facebook fan page from July 11- July 18, 2009.

What to Enter:

There are five contest categories of special interest to Calder Casino & Race Course:  Scenery, Action, Friends & Family, Racing Personalities and Horses.

Prize:

A finalist will be chosen from each category and the best of those finalists as judged by Calder's panel will be the Grand Prize Winner.  The Grand Prize will be for a VIP Day at the Races with a lunch for 4, valet parking, an official race program, all admissions, box seating, a race named in winner's honor and a winner's circle presentation with your race's winning jockey!  Finalists will receive recognition on the Calder Race Course website and on Calder's Facebook fan page.

How to Enter:

Ø     There is only one way to enter following the directions below. No other entries by other means can be accepted.

Ø     Log on to Facebook and search Calder Race Course, become a fan

Ø     Place your full name on the "Write Something" box

Ø     Also, note what category you want your photo judged - Scenery, Action, Friends & Family, Racing Personalities or Horses

Ø     As you finish click on photo to upload photo

Ø     When you finish click on share to finalize your entry, which will post on Calder's fan page

Rules:

-- Photos are accepted from 8 a.m. on July 11 until July 18 at midnight EST.
-- Photos previously published or pending publication or that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright, are not eligible.
-- Calder Casino & Race Course will solely determine winners' eligibility
-- Photographs must have been shot by the entrant within the past year
-- Please do not enter restricted or non-public areas for the purpose of the contest. Entries of this type will not be accepted.
-- A limit of 2 photos per category per person will be allowed.
-- Professional and amateur photographers are eligible.
-- Photos must be shot at Calder Race Course - no other racing locations or facilities eligible.
-- Photos manipulated with editing programs or enhanced will not be accepted, except for standard cropping or red eye reduction.
-- By entering the contest, entrants grant Calder Casino & Race Course the right to publish and use submitted photographs in print or electronic form in the future, for advertising and promotion of the company, for exhibition, and for commercial products, including but not limited to Calder Casino & Race Course publications in perpetuity. When reasonable, any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit.
-- Calder will not be responsible for mis-posted entries, lost or misdirected entries.
-- The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Judging:

-- A panel selected by Calder will select winners in each interest category with one Grand Prize winner selected from the finalist from each category for the prize. Category winners will have their photo posted on Calder's official website.
-- Decisions of the Calder Casino & Race Course will be final.
-- Grand Prize winner must complete a publicity affidavit before claiming prize.
-- Please do not contact us about the status of entries.
-- Photos are accepted from 8 a.m. on July 11 until July 18 at midnight EST.
-- Winner will be notified via Facebook by midnight on July 26, 2009.
-- Category finalists and winner's submitted photo will be posted to the official Calder website by midnight on August 1.
