FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are you located?
See Maps and Directions.

What tracks are you simulcasting?
See On-Track Simulcasting.

Do you have a poker room or slots?
Yes. Studz Poker Club is Calder's 29-table card room located on the first floor of the grandstand and opened on Oct. 23, 2009.  A new 104,000-square foot slots facility - with 1,225 slot machines and three restaurants - is scheduled to open in January 2010.

Is there something we cannot bring to the racetrack?
You cannot bring outside food or beverage (we have many dining options). No cans, bottles, alcohol, coolers or backpacks are permitted and are subject to search. Also, no pets are permitted, although official seeing eye animals are.

Can we take pictures?
Yes, but only in fan-designated areas. Please refrain from flash photography near the horses in the saddling area.

Are children allowed?
Yes, but not allowed in wagering areas. Kids under 18 are free.

Do you race in the rain?
Yes, however if the weather is really stormy, the post parade may be shortened with the horses going from the saddling enclosure near the Paddock to the starting gate. This is called going from "Paddock to Post" or a "shortened post parade". Races typically are delayed during a thunderstorm.
