John Delgado won the 2012 Summit of Speed Jockey Sprint Race at Calder Casino & Race Course on Saturday, July 7, defeating nine of his fellow riders going approximately 100 yards on the main track. He covered the distance in :13.66.
Carlos Olivero finished second by "2 1/2 lengths" and Antonio Alfaro was another "length and half" back in third, according to Calder Placing Judges.
Completing the field were: Maynor Lopez, Eddie Dominguez, Eduaro Nunez, Joe Rodriguez, Pedro Monterrey, Jr., Jose Ferrer, and Jonathan Gonzales.
Delgado took home the Jockey Sprint trophy in the non-wagering event.
