For the third consecutive year, HRTV® will be onsite at Calder Race Course for the $1.3 million "Summit of Speed" this Saturday, July 10.
The 11th edition of the "Summit of Speed" is annually one of the summer's biggest race days, and HRTV's tandem of Hall of Famer Gary Stevens and Caton Bredar will be reporting on all the action from the Miami, FL area track.
Stevens and Bredar will be chronicling the action from trackside, offering the latest developments on the outstanding card, as well providing in-depth analysis and pre- and post-race interviews.
Post time for the stakes-heavy 12-race card is set for 1:10 p.m. ET/10:10 a.m. PT.
The unique day of racing lures the country's best sprinters to South Florida each year and offers seven stakes, including four graded stakes races (all carded for six furlongs). The stakes slate is topped by the Grade 1, $350,000 Princess Rooney (post time: 5:41 p.m. ET/2:41 p.m. PT) for fillies and mares.
Two Grade 2 events, the $350,000 Smile Sprint Handicap (5:13 p.m. ET/2:13 p.m. PT) and the $200,000 Carry Back (4:45 p.m. ET/1:45 p.m. PT), are also among the powerful stakes slate.
