Florida Stallion Stakes

Florida Stallion Stakes Series

The Florida Stallion Stakes is a series of two-year-old races for colts and fillies which are sired by a nominated Florida stallion (see below). There are no mandatory requirements for the mare to foal in Florida or for the foal to be a registered Florida bred.

This series is open to those who have met and maintained all eligibility payments. All payments must be postmarked by the scheduled due date.

This series of six races (two races at six furlongs, two races at seven furlongs, and two races at one mile and a sixteenth) is run at Calder Race Course. They begin in late summer and conclude in the Autumn.

For any two-year-old who wins a Florida Stallion Stakes race, Calder Race Course, Inc. will distribute Breeders' awards and stallion nominator awards.

It is expected that this series will gross an estimated $1,150,000.
